Name: Xalbur
Type: Zweihander
Range: Short, mid, and long range
Description: Xalbur is a sword forged in legend. It was created from a masterfully reinforced steal and leather, colored by chemicals that still shine beautifully in age as they did new. Enchanted by a sorcerer by the name of Myrdin, the sword never breaks or wears. It is a massive weapon, the handle itself being a foot and a half long, wrapped in black lizard-grim's skin, making it's grip smooth yet easy to hold. The first guard is a gold-colored steel, and is a foot long from end to end, curved up slightly at the edges, with a onyx stone set in the center on either side. The next section of the blade is thin and wrapped in black leather, to serve as a grip father up. The next section is a secondary guard, forged of the same gold-colored steel, though curving up at a steeper angle from the edges of the blade itself. The entirety of this portion is two and a half feet long. The blade itself is double edged, four inches wide on either flat side, the entirety of the blade being tinted gold and having a length of roughly five feet long.
Abilities: Xalbur has an ability named Aura-link, in which it attaches itself to the aura of the wielder, giving it a huge amount of unique abilities, most of which remain undiscovered, the most easily learn-able being the ability to call the weapon to the hand if it is away, and the fact that, once linked, the weapon is weightless in the hand, but if anyone besides the linked user attempts to lift it, the weapon will not budge from where it is. One exception is the "first born son" of the wielder, or the eldest daughter if only daughters are had. If this offspring touches the blade, Xalbur leaves it's previous master, and instead jumps to the offspring's aura. The only other exception is if it's current wielder has died, then anyone can link their aura to the weapon. The weapon is said to turn anyone that wields it into a hero, as has so far held true, though the untold portion of the legend is that the sword was cursed from the beginning, that anybody who wielded it would face great loss, that could send them spiraling into depression. For the king that originally held it, he faded only into legend, infertile, with no children to bequeath his kingdom to, and lost it to grim, then commited suicide with the blade from the grief. For Nova, he lost his beloved wife and first born triplet son.
But destiny has a funny way of working sometimes.
