Personality: Li is largely affable, generally preferring to avoid conflict with other people. He is arrogant, to a degree, but tries to keep it under control. He abhors willful stupidity and incompetence, yet admires when someone is honest about their limitations. He is usually socially awkward, stumbling over words and stuttering on occasion unless he specifically makes an effort to reduce this. He has a strong appreciation for beauty, and will freely comment on clashing colors in decor and clothing, occasionally adding to his fair appearance in leading others to assume he is female.

Bio: Li's younger life was mostly happy and simple, if a bit spotted with moments of relative tragedy. His parents amicably divorced, and a few years later, his mother remarried. After initially harboring some animosity for his step-father, Li eventually came to accept him into his family.

At age 13 he was enrolled in Signal Academy, where he later created his weapon, Fenghuang. During his junior year at Signal, his father was arrested on charges of a particularly heinous crime. After publicly defending him during the trial, Li was labeled a pariah, and became an outcast among society.

Li continued his education at Signal until graduation. Due to the status he had gained during his years at Signal, he took to independently hunting Grimm after finishing school. It was after a hunt in which he dispatched a small pack of Beowolves before the nearest Hunter could arrive that he was discovered, and offered a full scholarship to Beacon Academy.

Li made it past the initiation, and was placed within a team like every other student in Beacon. However, due to his status, and less than friendly relations with his teammates, he was eventually pulled. Fearing a repeat, he pushed a request that he be able to remain in Beacon as an independent student. After having it granted, he was allotted his own room, and conducts low-profile missions as required for Beacon.

Physical Appearance: Li is overall of average height and mildly slender build, standing at five feet, ten inches and weighing one hundred forty five pounds. He has blue-green eyes and long, dirty blonde hair reaching to the small of his back that he keeps tied back in a ponytail. Muscle definition is visible, if only just, giving him a wiry physique. His facial appearance is fair and somewhat feminine, which, coupled with a soft, androgynous voice, leads many to assume he is female.

Clothing/Armor: Li's most common choice of attire consists of a pair of dark denim trousers hanging loose over a pair of black leather, steel-toed combat boots, a button-up shirt of some shade of blue (generally on the lighter end of the spectrum) tucked into his trousers, and a black vest over his shirt. Li forgoes wearing armor, not wanting to be slowed down in combat, instead relying on Aura and evasion to keep him from harm.

Semblance: Shift; Li is able to drastically and instantaneously alter both his and Fenghuang's momentum without causing any harm to himself or damage to his weapon.

Miscellaneous Info: Li is a highly capable gunsmith and an expert shooter, yet chooses not to use guns for personal reasons. He has a tic where he rubs the back of his neck when embarrassed and/or nervous.
