Name: Aran Locke
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Personality: Aran is a forward-minded young man, commonly attributing his ever-driving mannerisms to being consistently of poor health. Given that he is always pushing to keep moving forward in life, he strongly dislikes remaining idle, instead preferring to be out experiencing or learning as much of life as he can. Seemingly in a stark contrast to his forward-oriented mindset, Aran can be patient to great lengths, citing that everything has its time to come and pass.
Aran seems to have little regard for his own safety, which can be attributed to his consistently poor health, as he fully believes that his ever-present sickness will eventually claim him, if experiencing life to the greatest degree he can doesn't claim him first. Compounding this issue is a fierce sense of loyalty to his friends, leading him to put himself in danger if it will get them out of it.
Bio: Born to an average, upper-middle-class working family, little was special regarding Aran's early life, save for a toast given for him during his first birthday. "May he live in interesting times." Nothing came of thisĀ for several years, until he fell severely ill at the age of ten. It was discovered that his body was attacking itself from the inside; his immune system was compromised. His Aura was unlocked in a bid to save his life, and while it didn't solve the problem entirely, it brought him back to health enough to carry on living his life.
Three years later, he was admitted to Sanctum academy, pushing himself in combat training to overcome the physical limitations placed on his body by his condition. However, due to how closely he had to keep track of his Aura, he rarely fared well in early tournaments, often forfeiting a match if he fell below half of his reserves for fear of overtaxing himself and inviting his condition to wreak havoc on him.
Aran's latter years at Sanctum were much smoother for him, and he met with greater success in tournaments, having discovered his Semblance late in his second year. With less fear of inadvertently exhausting his Aura, Aran was the source of a fair few upsets in early matches during his third year. His fourth year was a balance of the success he initially enjoyed in early third year and the general lack thereof he had in his first two years.
Physical Appearance: Aran stands under average height at 5'7", and weighs in at 135lbs. He has black hair that hangs loose slightly past his shoulders, but is greying prematurely. His eyes are a pale, almost sickly green, as if to reflect his condition within. He is also extremely pale, with bags under his eyes more often than not. In spite of his condition, he always seems to have an easy smile on his face, belying his friendly attitude. He stands as tall as he can when in social situations, as if in defiance of his condition, yet his stature in combat is a noticeable slump, as if he wishes to have his opponents underestimate him.
Clothing/Armor: Aran prefers to wear more billowy clothing, being self-conscious about his frail appearance. His most common attire consists of dark brown boots, over which hang a pair of off-white trousers secured in place by a brown belt. An off-white shirt, matching the colour of his trousers, is worn tucked in, with a forest green coat being worn over everything else. He also wears a pair of brown leather gloves, with the thumb, index and middle fingers being cut out to allow for greater dexterity.
Semblance: Vampirism; Aran is capable of drawing on his opponent's Aura to bolster his own or heal wounds he has suffered, but requires continuous physical contact to do so.
Color Represented: Forest Green
Fairy Tail Represented: Sleeping Beauty (if only in a rather obscure manner...)
Emblem: A castle wall, with the gate held shut.
Miscellaneous Info: Due to his Aura constantly keeping his body from tearing itself apart within, he is incapable of accelerated healing in regards to injuries, unless he can draw on another's Aura. Prolonged, heavy exertions will often leave him short of breath, during which time he is more vulnerable.
