Day In and Day Out [Private] Empty
PostSubject: Day In and Day Out [Private]   Day In and Day Out [Private] Icon_minitimeSat Nov 30, 2013 2:34 am

Emerald hues take their last glimpse as light meets dark. The threshold of horizon being compromised by the seconds that ticked by. Vibrant streaks of reds and oranges span across the sky's endless expanse above. The atmosphere dramatically changing within their presence. Soon a blanket of shade would consume the scene. Bringing with it the touch of nightfall. Where stars would dance in wild abandon. A glistening frenzy of dazzling lights in the far distance. Unreachable by hand. Though strong enough to capture the beauty through the consuming darkness. While the sun continued braced for the arrival of the moon. Slowly slipping away beyond the world's reach. A single individual was comfortably seated upon the rooftop terrace of Beacon Academy. One leg against pointed upwards the other literally hanging off the edge of the building. A limp arm rested upon their knee. They stared out, merely lost in a daze at the sight. During which they reflected. The first day of the new school year come and gone. Just like that. Without so much as an ounce of interest to claim. Perhaps it was time to seek grander adventures. Actually interact with people beyond their own little clique. A dynamic which could be beneficial. If they ever could break their almost religious habit of caution around others. A tough habit to break given everything. Everything entailing history. History which was left to be revealed. Not that it needed to be. No one enjoyed a sob story. Not even the holder of the story themself. Besides it needed to be this way. Lest anyone should discover. Discover what exactly, would be clear if anyone actually saw her true form. Which like most hours of the night allowed. Was revealed in plain sight and very much active.

A crimson tail rooted upon a flesh backside, swayed back and forth in a slow rhythmic fashion. Finally free of it's confinement from a the fabric cage known as jeans. For the sake of sanity and safety. It was often hidden away from the world. Deemed unacceptable by it's very nature. Not that it's owner really cared all too much about such opinions. Still it was necessary to keep school life sustainable at best. Thank god for the hours when no eyes were here to gaze. Hiding such an appendage in cramped confinement often proved annoying and strenuous. So one could imagine how glorifying it was to be alone for a mere few hours. While the sky grew darker and darker. The glow of a small flame that burned ever brightly from the whitened tip of the vixen's tail became more prominent. Illuminating the the surrounding area with it's radiate light. The flame flickered gently with each sway that came to pass.

A deep breathe in was followed by an elongated sigh of relief that broke through the silence of the space. With a turn of the head. Eyes were redirected. Straight up towards the shading sky. Awaiting the familiar twinkle that was associated with this hour of time. Pale lips finally twitched to life. In an attempt to release a word or two. "And with the dying of the sun. Expires the light of day to welcome the everlasting darkness. Which to end, blankets the world in the shadows of night. Casted by the radiance of the moon as it silently watches over us." Poetic and to the point. A random tangent that was often exploited when alone like this. A grimace graced the fixture of her face being complimented by a grunt of amusement. "I really need to get a life." Talking to ones self. Another tangent. Not as common however. Only when thinking out loud. The lone spirit continued to watch the evening sky without a care in the world. Assumed to be all alone. If anyone was to approach. There would be no notice at first.

Day In and Day Out [Private] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Day In and Day Out [Private]   Day In and Day Out [Private] Icon_minitimeSat Nov 30, 2013 3:26 am

It was dark. Dark, and very, very cold. Even the two layers of clothing the young man sported wasn't enough to chill him to the bone. He could hear more low, guttural growls. Almost as if they were taunting him. How many Beowolves had he dismembered? How many had been thrown his way? His clothes were beginning to become heavier with blood drenched in them. He was panting, and on his lest leg, beginning to tire. As two more wolves rushed him, he simply shot them both directly in the chest. Then his weapon clicked empty. He sighs in frustration, and folds it out to its full bladed form. The earth beneath him then shook, and it grew even darker, barely able to see a foot in front of him. Then, out of the darkness, he could see red, glowing eyes. And he heard words that chilled him to the bone.

"I still have your scent..."

The young azure warrior bolts up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily. He looks around at the others students in their sleeping bags, getting ready to sleep, and sighs, realizing what he had just experienced was only a dream. He rubbed the dark circles under his eyes, and stands up, silently stretching his body. Making sure no one else was aware of his presence, he quickly changes into his normal attire. He couldn't sleep. So, he might as well do something he and his old friend would do on days they couldn't sleep, either. Watch the sunset...

Throwing his hood over his head as he finishes changing, he steps back out to the ballroom, making sure no one else is alarmed by his footsteps. As he enters the hallways, he begins almost aimlessly walking through the halls, hands jammed in his pockets, and his gaze focused out of the windows. With the way the school was layed out, it was hard for him to get a good look at the sun setting over the horizon. Unhappy with his view, he began looking for some stairs. Figuring the roof would be a better alternative, plus, a much more fresh one, he began his search.

It wasn't long until he found a welcoming staircase. Giving a small smirk, and ensuring his hood was still covering the top half of his face, Alex begins walking up the stairs, remaining relatively silent. It wasn't until he was halfway to the roof, that he began singing softly to himself.

"I know, you're gone, gone, gone..." His voice came through naturally, his tone custom for the song that he heard not too long ago. It seemed that the song brought him comfort, regardless of the lyrics and town of the song. "This is where...I will draw...My line."

He can now see the entrance to the roof. A single door, waiting to be opened.

"I will draw my line."

He opens the door, and breaths in the cool evening air, a small smile gracing his lips as he does so. Figuring it's safe at this point, he lowers his hood and takes a long look at the setting sun.

"Burning my cathedrals...'cause I don't pray anymore," He continues to sing, walking across the rooftop and rounding a corner from another roof entrance. It's then that he sees another individual, with brilliant crimson hair, who must have also been up here for the sunset, as her gaze was fixed to the dimming light, and the approaching stars. He immediately stops, frozen in the spot, and staring right at the person from under his hood. He then made the stunning realization that she had a tail. That she was a Faunas. She also muttered what seemed to be a poem, and he tilted his head in slight curiosity.

He takes a moment to collect his bearings, and tries to remain as silent as possible. He takes a single step back, before he hears her mutter, "I really need to get a life." He stops again, confused as to what would make her say that. His curiosity seemed to have gotten the better of him, as because of this, he stopped backing away.

At first overlooked. However as breeze crossed gently over the world. It carried with it a trace of scent and the faintest of words which echoed into trained ears. Though it took time to register. At the first sign of recognition. Axis was broke from her reoccurred daze. Disbelief straight from the get go. Unsure of what exactly it was that was taking her senses. A stirring illusion of the mind. No. It was something more. A feeling was drawn in the pit of her stomach as her sense were concentrated. Nose to the air within the fraction of a second. Her head perked up in curiosity as she inhaled the air deeply. A sniff here, a sniff there. Trying to understand what it was that was catching attention.

The ting of warm flesh. Musk of the prime masculinity. Something so distinct in combination could be only one thing. A human. Somewhere close by. A male human was about. Within seconds of realizing what was going on. Her tail all but ceased moving. Fur now on edge to a minor degree. Almost afraid to move or even take a breathe. This was really bad. She couldn't let whoever it was see her. Not like this. It would cause an uproar in the mind of the wrong person. Without so much as hesitation. The crimson tail that had once been so free. All but curled up and was immediately shoved back into the remaining space of her jeans. Cramped and crowded yet again. As uncomfortable as it was. It was worth it. No need to cause unnecessary racial adversity if it could be avoided.

Now comes the hard part. Establishing whether her identity was still safe or compromised. Regardless of either/ There was a need to get out of this place. Dependant on the answer, that could become harder to achieve. Only time would tell. Unlike before, Axis was sitting straight up. Without bothering to face their direction. Keeping her back to their presence there on the terrace. She spoke out in the calmest tone she could muster. Acting as if it was no big deal. Just another average student enjoying the splendors of nightfall. When in actuality she was waiting for the best opportunity to get away. "Whoever you are. I know your there. Just come on out already." Still faced away. Axis merely motioned with her hand for the person to approach. If the person in question revealed themself. She would watch them carefully.

Shit. She noticed him. That was always his luck, always unable to run. He sighs, noticing she had hidden her tail. Again, he quirked an eyebrow, but left it alone. He steps back out, forgetting to check to see if his hood was properly secured atop his head and hiding any features above his nose. He gives a cautious smile, and a small wave. "Uh...Hey." Is all the boy with the white hood says in greeting, before mentally slapping himself for such a stupid entrance.

"Uh...Sorry if I disturbed you, or anything. Was just tryin' to get some air and watch the sunset." Is all he says. He crosses his arms, and raises a brow under his hood. This girl, her red hair, and her piercing green eyes... He felt like he knew them from somewhere. "Do I know you? I feel like I've seen you bef-" He's cut off by a sudden gust of wind, one that suddenly tears his unsecured hood from his head, revealing his features. Still incredibly curious, he opens his eyes and observes her for a quick moment with his heterochromatic eyes, before realizing what had happened, and throwing his hood back over his head.
